Chris Graham
Centre Co-ordinator for SafetyFirst.

My role is to ensure that there are enough resources at the Safety First Community Centre in order to address the needs of disadvantaged residents (the disadvantage may be around health inequalities, unemployment, poverty). This includes sitting at the computer for hours on end, attending strategic meetings and ensuring that all policies and processes are up to date and appropriate. I also co-ordinate the delivery of NVQs.
I have experience in a variety of public service and Third sector backgrounds. My role includes securing funding and contracts and the ability to maintain a good working relationship between staff, outside agencies and other networks. I have qualifications in a Certificate of Education from Huddersfield University, Literacy Specialist Level 4 NVQ Assessor, and I am a member of the Institute of Learning.
Although I take care of all the contracts and paperwork, I still occasionally get in on the sessions. I enjoy listening to a wide variety of music and reading a good book when I get the time, which is normally when I go to bed. My favourite places are the Lakes (particularly Ullswater) and Barcelona.
