Through Adult Community Learning, Safety First Community Training Centre assists unemployed adults with developing their computer skills, searching for a job and working with Job Centre Plus’ Find a Job system. Helping to improve your confidence, experience and developing CVs to improve the opportunities for some of those who are furthest from the job market.
These courses also give learners opportunities to progress onto:
English My Way – digital skills is a progression route available to those who have completed an ESOL course, and now want to develop their digital skills. Progression onto learning basic digital skills is very important for people with low English language skills. This course provides additional tutor time to support those learning English for the first time, to move on to other skills.
Future Digital Inclusion helps people with low computing skills, unemployed people, disabled people and people with learning difficulties to improve their digital skills and feel included within the community.
Reboot UK will help you gain the skills and confidence you need to get online, giving you greater choices in life.
Lloyds Banking Group Digital Inclusion Programme will help learners to increase their understanding of how they can control their finances online as well as develop other digital skills.
Safety First Community Training Centre has helped me to get over my fear of computers. It has encouraged me to go online more.
