I would like to put in writing my feelings regarding my time at Safety First Community Centre. As a single parent I'd been at home for a number of years so I felt quite apprehensive about embarking on anything new- to be honest I got to a stage where I thought I would never work again. My fears were all swept away as soon as i walked through the door. I was made to feel very welcome and immediately put at ease. During my time here, i have not only gained qualifications in Literacy & Numeracy at Level 2, I have also gained confidence, team building skills, IT skills, personal development and have made new friends along the way, who have been very supportive to me. All the help I have received here has in turn helped me to gain employment as a deputy manager and I have to say I am thrilled to bits. With my qualifications and new found confidence, I am really looking forward to a new chapter in my life, which I wouldn't have thought possible 6 months ago. I would say to anyone thinking about attending Safety First Community Training Centre "Go for it"- I am glad I did! -J.M.
Just a short thank you for thursday. I really was surprised to receive my certificate. Please pass on my thanks to the lady who cooked a delicious lunch and to everyone else who made the day very special for so many people. -M
I am still enjoying my work supporting the deaf children within the DSP (Designated Special Provision). The team are really friendly and you are encouraged to contribute ideas and your concerns or observations listened to and valued- it's great! I meant to send this years ago! Thanks for all your help and support and boundless enthusiasm as I struggled through NVQ... -J.K
